Team Elite – The Entroduction

A digital download of Team Elite’s 2012 debut project, The Entroduction. Team Elite features Gee, Ronny C. and K.C., with popular songs including “Ride wit the 5” and “Creative Writing”.

Originally from Detroit, Michigan, the group consisted of three friends who grew up on the westside of the inner city.  The plan was to start an AAU basketball team which they named, "Team Elite" but as the athletic dream faded, the desire and interest to be recording artists grew.

From recording in basements, garages, closets and professional studios, Team Elite recorded The 'E'ntro (the initial raw, unfiltered, unmastered version) with the resources and creativity they had available.  They created a culture of putting "E before I" which meant thinking of the team before self, creativity before intellect and individuality before society standards.  After getting second place in the 2012 Showdown in Motown talent competition in Detroit, the group took the winning prize money and invested in recording a more polished version of The Entroduction at a studio in metro Detroit.

The project captures the different personalities of the group as well as their similarities creatively.  It has a fun, creative and intentional tone with a variety of songs and styles.  Experience the creative minds of Detroit artists in their early 20's experiencing life as young adults, bachelors, college students and as a team!
